Kia Ora Bloggers! We recently started working on these bird slides. They were really fun to work on because we had to make a fact file and a stamp and stuff. We also had to vote for the bird we thought should be the bird of the century. My favourite part was making a fact file.

This is a really hard question, but in the end I probably would. I would probably think and stress about it a lot. I would probably do it but for a very short amount of time, knowing that there were dangerous animals like caimans and piranhas in there.

Hey bloggers!
Today I am sharing my film festival film. I made this with my friends Lyla, Sophie, and Emme. It is called “Channel 4 News.” We worked really hard on this to make it a funny fun film. The hardest bit was probably getting people organised because everyone was mucking around.
My favourite part in our film was a scene where we did an ad for a ninja course. It was just very fun.

Here is my answer:
If I was an explorer I would want to explore a rain forest, even if there were massive dangers. It would be really cool to see different wildlife and animals, also I think the nature would be really beautiful. Lots of places say it is dangerous in there, but you can still go in with caution. This place sounds really cool, and the pictures I have seen online make me want to go there even more.
Would you come with me or just go there by yourself? If not, where would you go?

Yesterday The Pod went to the Maritime Museum which is a museum in the city. It is a museum where you can learn about the history of New Zealand, but more importantly, the history of New Zealand maritime. Maritime means related to the sea, so we got to see Waka’s, trophy replicas, and old things that sailors might have used.
My favourite part was when they had set out a room like the place that sailors would sleep, and it was dark and dusty. There was a wooden table in the middle of the room and a bucket in the corner, and beds all around the walls. There was a video on a small screen stuck to one of the beds that was playing a video of a woman, her son and her daughter. The daughter playing with her doll, and the mum reading to her son. The floor also rocked in the room which was really cool.
We were learning about change over the years, and about the immigration of people and the migration of animals. We learnt about how over time people started immigrating to New Zealand, looking for a better life, and about how they used different ways to get there. We learnt that they used the stars, the moon, the sun, whales, birds, currents, and clouds to navigate their way there.
Have you ever been to the maritime museum? And if not, would you want to go from my description? It also doesn’t cost anything to go.

I think my family would really enjoy this book, as it is intriguing and makes you very curious. My favourite part was when Amorangi and Millie met Ria, and they used her pencils and went to her birthday. A question I had for the author would be: Were any of these names of places or people based off a real person or a real place that you lived near or went to a lot?

Today the ASG (Aotearoa Sustainability Group) came to visit us.
They work on the environment and keeping our country clean. Today they came to our school and helped us make beeswax wraps. We learnt how to make it, we needed small blocks of beeswax, layers of baking paper, our wraps of course, and an iron. Making it was pretty easy, but the ironing part took very long. Afterwards we put name stickers on it to know who’s was who’s, and then left them all on a line to dry.
I enjoyed making these wraps, and one day maybe you’ll be able to make one too!

This is actually a novel ponder, but it isn’t related to the novel at all.
As you might know, a chimera is a mix of animals. Today we had to make our own chimera mixing 3 animals and make it have a special ability. My chimera would be a mix of a fox, ghost and a butterfly. Its special ability would be to turn invisible when ever it wanted. I think this would be really cool because I LOVE foxes and a fox ghost would be even cooler. Butterflies are just a small things to add that would make it cooler. I would call it a Ghost-Foxifly.

If I had another choice I would choose A frog, butterfly and guinea pig mix. I would call it a frogifly 🙂 .
